Environmental Policy:
Please review our
environmental policy.
Attention: We are experiencing problems with customers (and their pets) having
medical procedures and improperly disposing of their waste into the regular
trash. It triggers our radiation monitoring devices and activates the alarms.
Those individuals having iodine 131 procedures or radiation treatments need to
separate any materials coming into contact with bodily fluids (tissues, napkins,
straws, disposable undergarments, sanitary items, mattress liners, etc) items.
We will pass the cost of these radiation alarms onto the customer when the waste
is separated and identified at the facility.
Also, batteries and fluorescent bulbs can not be put into the trash.
Household Refuse Drop Off:
The container has been moved from the front of the site to the blue scale and is available to the public from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The price per bag is still $2.50. Stop into the scalehouse for payment and receipt.
Garbage Can Replacement:
It is the policy of East Penn to reimburse residential customers
up to $15.00 for trash can damage only when the damage is a direct result of our
employees or equipment. We will evaluate the occurrence of trash can damage
individually. Please contact the office if your trash container is damaged as a
result of our employees or equipment.
Tires:
Tires in dumpsters will now be charged:
- $12.00 per passenger car tire
- $30.00 per truck tire
- $50.00 per farm tire
Rate Changes Effective 1/1/2007:
- Residential Limited Service will remain at $28/month.
- Commercial Service customer rates will be increased by 5%.
We have made every effort to hold our costs in check, but, as we all have
experienced, rising fuel, insurance and other operating expenses have made the
above necessary.
Transfer Station
Pennsylvania DEP permitted transfer station open to the public for
easy and convenient trash disposal.
